Graduation 2020 - Tuesday, June 23

Graduating high school is a significant milestone and we are very proud of our graduates for all of their accomplishments both within PDHS and beyond. It is important to acknowledge these accomplishments in a meaningful way, and yet respect the Covid-19 pandemic we find ourselves in.

The graduation of the Class of 2020 will look very different this year due to Covid-19. However we assure you we will make this year's graduation memorable.

Attached is a letter outlining the details of our 2020 graduation as well as the specific procedures for graduation day.

We are looking forward to welcoming the newest members to the PDHS alumni family.

Teachers will stay in touch with grade 10-12 students to support their learning and are working on plans to offer support in various ways, including options for students without access to technology at home. We know that each family has unique needs and circumstances, and teachers will work with you to find an arrangement that is best for your family.  Please refer to the Grade 12 Q&A on our Facebook page or on the CCRCE website at www.ccrce.ca.

Parents and studnets are encouraged to reach out to teachers with questions and support.

New Learning to Begin Next Week

Our PDHS teachers and support staff are in the process of developing learning plans for their students. Some teachers already have online learning platforms setup such as Google Classrooms, while others are determining their preferred platform. Teachers are also developing low-tech/no-tech methods of delivering their programs.  Teachers have been advised that new learning will begin byThursday, April 9. Students are encouraged to continue to check their gnspes.ca accounts for communication from their teachers. Some teachers may provide review material, however the official new learning will be introduced byThursday. We thank you for your patience and understanding as our staff collaborates and puts thoughtful work into how continued learning will look for their students.
